Happy Halloween from Baby Bee
Natalie really enjoyed Halloween this year. She liked her Bee costume, even asking for it the next day after we came home from Chris and Melissa's Halloween party. She ran around outside and learned to say "Trick or Treat" pretty well. She had a cute little yellow bucket with a honey pot and a bee hive on it. She also liked carrying around her mini pumpkin she picked out at the patch a few weeks ago. We didn't carve pumpkins this year, but her Grandpa George brought her a carved one that she thought was pretty cool. Natalie will not be eating any of her candy that she received, but that's ok, because Mom and Dad have offered to help. We thought she was the cutest baby bee ever!

Fall Harvest Festival 2010
We took Natalie to the Fall Harvest Festival again this year. We also entered her in the cutest baby contest that she won last year. She did not win two years in a row, but that's OK. It is good for someone else to get a chance. The difference between what she looked like then and now is pretty striking. We tried to take the same picture we did in 2009. We mostly succeeded. All in all we had a fun time and went out to lunch afterwards with G&G Amling at Egg Harbor. The weather was a bit cold and windy, but we still had fun. Take a look at some of our cute pictures! The first one is from the 2009 festival, the 2nd is from today.

With Uncle Chris
Natalie is totally enamored with her Uncle Chris. If we visit their house and he is not at home (she stays with Aunt Melissa sometimes while Mommy goes to meetings and appointments) she is very disappointed. She walks around the house calling "Ciss! Ciss!" and then throws up her hands and asks, "where go?" She never wants to leave if he is there, and often requests extra hugs. Natalie is a big Uncle Chris fan.

Natalie LOVES Sesame Street
Natalie was pleased to find a Sesame Street Clubhouse at Grandpa George's house. She liked Ernie and the little bald man best. There was even a Sherlock Hemlock, which I never had as a kid. Nat enjoys all things Sesame Street as evidenced by her Sesame Street book and backpack also visible in these photos.

Natalie and Mommy at Arlington Race Track
We had a very busy 4th of July weekend! We had a playdate with Tommy and Maggie Pottroff. We went to the Arlington Race Track to bet on horses and see the fireworks with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Erin. We went to a BBQ in Marengo to see all of Mommy's family, AND we went to the American English concert with Cousin Connor and Uncle Jon and Aunt Sara. Such a busy weekend! This picture is of Jenny and Natalie enjoying the races.
Natalie at Swimming Lessons
Natalie enjoys swimming lessons with her Daddy on Saturday mornings at the Frontier Park pool. In this video, Kevin is trying to get her to blow bubbles in the water instead of drinking it. She doesn't quite have the concept down yet. Nat loves to be in the water though, and splashes her way through the whole lesson. One day we'll get to the pool to just hang out and play without any interruptions, and Mommy will be in the water too.

Natalie's 1st Birthday Party
Hard to believe she is one years old! She walks pretty well now as well as saying a handful of words and a few sign language signs. Her favorite foods are Cheerios, cheese, and blueberries. Can't say I blame her. If you add coffee and chocolate to the list, you have my list of favorites.
She loves to be outside and walk up and down the block and look at the squirrels and the birds. Her hair is long enough for pigtails and she'll leave them in for a little while.
We are looking forward to the 4th of July weekend. We are going to the Arlington Racetrack, and a BBQ and a concert!

Happy Valentine's Day
After a bath and a cuddle, we sat down to take some photos of Natalie for her first Valentine's Day. She is considerable squirmier now that she was for the Christmas photo shoot, but there are still some cute pics. Natalie was 9 months old on the 12th of February and is quite the independent. She enjoys knocking over towers of blocks, chewing on her caterpillar toy, and eating giant handfuls of Cheerios. We can't wait till Spring when we can go out and enjoy some walks in the stroller!

Family Room Remodel
I can't believe how big she is now!
Cleaning up some files on my computer, I started looking at all the pictures we have taken of Natalie. There are at least 1000. She is only 8 months old, and yet, she looks so different! I really can't believe the difference. Crazy what 8 months will do. Anyway, here is a pic of Nat when she was brand new, and a pic of her from the other day.

My 2010 Goal
This will be the 3rd year that I have made the goal of reading 50 books in one year. I refuse to cheat and say that "Green Eggs and Ham" counts. 50 novels, Fiction, non-fiction, biography, whatever, but real books.
In 2008 I made it to 30. Last year, 2009, I only made it to 22.
So wish me luck on this 4th day of January 2010. I am one down, 49 to go!
